Taking numerical data from CAD, three dimensional prototypes can be made using a number of different materials and techniques. This process allows for a conceptual model to be manufactured for testing or acts as the pre-cursor to mould manufacture. Two-dimensional shapes and profiles can also be manufactured from wood and plastic.
